I find it very difficult to pop into most high street cafes/coffee shops for a snack with friends, I usually found myself having a coffee and watching them have lunch. Well great news at last someone on the high street has thought of us and it is one of my favourite places for coffee, Starbucks.

As my friends and family will testify I am a huge Starbuck's fan, I even have the Starbucks App on my iPhone so I know where the nearest one is. The reason is two fold - first I am addicted to Latte's and second I know I can get a decent cup of Soya Latte at Starbucks. That isn't to knock Costa either I am a fan of their coffee too. But if you don't have those two and your are dairy intolerant you are normally stuffed when it comes to a good high street coffee.

Starbucks Gluten and Dairy Free Tuna Mayo SandwichAnyway I wander into my Latte addiction sorry, the great news is that Starbucks are now doing a Gluten and Dairy and Tuna Mayo with Roast Tomato Sandwich, the even better news it that it is made with Genius Bread. I have popped into several Starbucks around the country and have found the sandwiches available and tried them out and they are lovely, soft and succulent.

I notice that according to the Starbucks iPhone App that they say they offer a Valencia Orange and Chocolate Cake, now I loved their Valencia Orange Cake before it dissapeard off the shelves, and although I have found the sandwiches without any problem I haven't found anywhere with the cake yet.

So if you find a Starbucks with the Cake leave a comment so we know where is stocking them.

Update
After our initial excitement at the Tuna Mayo sandwiches, I was absolutely gutted to find that they have already been stopped and replaced with Cheese sandwiches. As Coeliac with dairy intollerance I could happily eat the tuna mayo with little reprecussions but cheese sandwiches are a step too far.

I was informed in a couple of stores that Starbucks had stopped doing tuna sandwiches all together, fair play to them but come on starbucks please offer us a better alternative that Cheese, we are back to eating elsewhere again :-(
