Dr. Who - Blink Episode Review

I just sat down and watched the latest Doctor Who episode called "Blink" and it blew me away. I must say I am a big "Doctor Who" fan and love David Tennant but I haven't been an avid watcher of this series, it had not really grabbed me until tonight. I think this will be a classic episode in "Dr. Who" history for a couple of reasons:

First is the combination of going backwards and forwards in time, the cross over’s between the characters as they move into different time zones, no I don't mean +1 hours or so, I mean going in true doctor style back to 1920 and 1969. Then leaving clues and letters for the friends and family in the future, who find that the ones they lost today actually lived long and happy lives 60 years before, is all mind blowing enough.

But add the second element, an everyday item like statues that we probably all pass everyday but don't really pay much attention to, and imagine that every time you look away they move, they get closer and they are trying to kill you. Add a liberal sprinkling of the Doctor and Martha popping in and out of the action in different times and situations i.e. battling alien lizards and you have the making of a great episode.

I think this will be a episode that will live in the minds of most children who watched it in to the adulthood, simply by the nagging feeling at the back of their mind when they walk past a statue - did it just move!!!!

I have not done a full review of this because I don't want to spoil it if you have not seen it yet, but watch out for it, don't look away and don't blink !!!!!!
