Barcelona Apartment Review

Going to Barcelona on business meant again looking for a rental apartment. This time I needed a smaller one bedroom apartment for 2 people. We selected Dreamer 31, it looked a nice clean apartment and ideally placed for the Fira exhbition centre.

The aparment is very nice, clean, bright and airy with a nice little terrace, which although looking out over a car park is still very sunny and quite. The apartment had a small 2 ring electric hob, oven, toaster and kettle in the kitchen as was all we needed for the odd occasion we cooked.

The bedroom is again nice and clean with plenty of storage, which hasn't always been the case in apartments and the bed was very comfortable. The one issue with the apartment its self is a small one, but it does have quite a short bath, having said that this the bathroom is well decorated and presented as is the whole apartment.

The apartment is in the El Raval district of Barcelona, just off the Rambla del Raval and about 5 minutes walk from Las Ramblas. It is also only a short walk from the Paral-lel Metro Station which makes it very easy to get anywhere in Barcelona. It is also only 2 stops from the the Fira Conference and Exhibition Centre which also has the excellent Montjuic Fountain with its light displays in the summer evenings.

The area is not as nice as the areas around the Marina and the gothic old town, and you would not want to be wandering around late at night on your own, but it is still handily placed for all the tourist attactions. Another thing to note is the entry to the block which houses dreamer 31 is not the nicest, it is quite run down and the stairs upto it steep, but this is a great apartment and a good reasonably priced apartment for 2 people.
