Everest Hidden Expedition , Hidden Object GameWednesday 04 Mar 2009 11:54 iPhone Reviews Tags: iphone, games, hidden, object, expedition, everest, big, fish, review I first got introduced to Hidden Object Games about 6 months ago and instantly became a fan. There are a number of reasons for this, they are very simple to play, usually visually appealing and very addictive,Everest Hidden Expedition from Big Fish Games for the iPhone is no different. The pretext of the game is a race to the summit of Everest against 3 other teams The Scarlet Hats, The Gamers and The Scholars. In reality though this is very much a side and seems to have no impact on the game itself. The idea of the game is that you have to solve hidden object puzzles in different locations around the world, which reveals clues to take you to different locations, eventually ending up on Everest. The game controls are very well done, to move around the game locations simply drag your finger across the screen in the desired direction, to zoom in use the standard iphone zoom technique of dragging two fingers away from each other to zoom in and towards each other to zoom out. I like the fact that even when zoomed in I can drag the screen around, very helpful.
The items you are looking for are listed across the bottom of the screen and a hint is available, this powers up during game play but each hint uses all the power so you have to wait in between hints. The playability is excellent, because of the sheer number of objects hidden in each location you can play them time and time again and be looking for different objects each time. And to be honest when do you have an object you have found before it gives you quite a good feeling of “Oh I know where this is Yehhh”. I have probably played this game for in the region of 25 or so hours and I am still going back for more. It is also a game that my family love to play, its not unusual for me to have to kick people off my iphone because they have got addicted to it. Simple and addictive for all the family and at $0.99/£1.19 excellent value for money. Highly recommended 5/5 related: Comments (0) |
